Without much creative mojo. I think work has sucked it out of me. Hoping the upcoming adventures will light a spark!

My brother, Kevin Dwyer, was Relieving Sole Teacher at Mihiwhetu School for a short time in the 1950’s. The roll was about 11 pupils.
Thanks for your comment John! Dad remembers your brother. The 11 pupils would have been the Grace children (eg Dad) and the Paengas.
My dad John Wallace was sole charge teacher at Mihiwhetu in 1945. I was not born then but my older brother, John was born while they were there in 1945.
Thanks for adding your connection. Seems that dad and siblings went there in the 1950s.
My father Bob Buchan taught at Mihiwhetu School, I think around 1964 to 1966 ish? My brother and I both went to school there too. Remember the Paenga family.
Hi Wendy, thank you for leaving your memory here! Sounds like you may have moved around a bit with your dad’s work. This was a special part of NZ to spend those couple of years.
Hi Wendy, I remember your father. I attended Mihiwhetu School during the period you were there. I also remember a teacher by the name of Tom Dufty. I think he was there before your father and there was also a teacher by the name of May Finch. From memory she was after your father.
I too remember the Paenga family along with the Seymours, Bruce’s, Murphys to name a few.
